Day 1
I’m enjoying myself so much that I am having trouble catching up and we are off out again soon but I will do the best I can to get you up to date.
We went to the Trafford Centre which I was told is the largest shopping centre in Europe ‘yawn’ and wandered around. Now although I have not bought a single present for Mrs Aegis yet, apparently we weren’t there to shop but to eat???
OK. I’ll go for that this time but don’t start with all this northern nonsense too often coz I’m not ‘aving it, driving 40 miles to the busiest shopping mall this side of Rekavik but not to shop. So we ambled about and eventually choose a place to eat, it was nice,then we went to the cinema, took our seats and watched the biggest load of tripe I’ve seen in ages. Well worth £8 ‘Not!!! There were only 2 other people in the place and they were busy with other things throughout the entire film
But the Trafford Centre decorations were great. Reindeer everywhere, snowmen and Santas, beautiful lights and apparently they had some ’singing bears’. We kept seeing the signs but never found any bears.
David took a photo of me at the foot of the giant staircase on his phone coz I forgot to take camera, der, won’t do that agian, I was going to post it but it came out all dark. Never mind, a nice drive home through the rain.
