Day 3
Day 3 brought excitement to the house as we had tickets for The Wizzard of Oz. But firstly we were going to a Christmas fayre which should help me with some of my Mrs Aegis present issues.
So after messing about on the PC trying to get my photos off the camera and onto the blog, we were on our way. Then in true nature the heavens opened again and so started the discussions of plan B/C/D…….
David was driving being assisted by TomTom with the voice of Ozzie Osbourne swearing at every wrong turn. We were given the usual guided tour treatment….here is the bread factory, look at all the loaves going round being cooled….wow, that’s made my holiday worth it alone.
So we ended up in a shopping mall next to the theatre and it wasn’t long before the massive decision had to be made. Fish n Chips, Burger King, Jacket Pototoes and a wide range of other delicacies.
We ate, look round the shops (and I did get some bits for Mrs A) then onto the theatre.
We’re off to see the wizzard, the wonderful wizzard of Oz, de dum de dum de dum de dum de diddley dum de dum.
It was good, even with the little brats waving around light sabres and flashing fairy wands around all show that their parents had so kindly bought for them in the foyer shop. Everytime there was a scene change and the lights went down, so up popped all these flashing damn light things that I could have snatched off the brats and snapped in half and then shoved up their……….actually thinking about it, shoved up their parents &^%^&^%
Anyway, it didn’t spoil it for me and Mrs A, we clapped alone with the songs and booed the wicked witch and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Haven’t been to the theatre since I surprised her on her birthday last year, when I secretly flew over to England (she was already here) and took her to the westend for a swanky weekend. Do miss nights like this living in Spain.
Great show so now it’s off the Frankie and Bennys for supper, a rack of ribs went down a treat and then it was time for the entertainment again. Graeme driving tonight with David as co-pilot and navigator. I seems that whichever one is driving, the other has divine right to critisise, shout directions and grab the steering wheel and the first sign of danger. It’s quite funny to witness but not good for the blood pressure.
Did go passed Old Trafford though and I must admit, it does look a hell of a ground (never been you see) so we headed home and the front seat bickering continued, David moaning at Graemes driving, so it was time for a prank. In the distance I spotted a speed camera, so I took out my camera and carefully switched it on under my coat. You see it makes noises and talks to you when you turn it on or off so I had to be quiet. Then as we passed the speed camera I took a picture with the flash lighting up the car.
David: What !!! How fast were you going?
Graeme: I thought I had slowed down, I was only doing 50
D: You couldn’t have been otherwise it wouldn’t have done us
I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to
That’s it, more money I have to pay out because of you

I’m biting my tongue in the back and wondering whether to tell them or not…..let me think….NO WAY let them suffer for a while. Well the conversation continued until we got home then me and Mrs A took their dog for a walk, and to have a ciggy and a giggle as she knew what had happened, but when we got back in, the conversation had changed and when I went to bed, I had forgotten to own up.
Sitting writting this this morning I have just remembered, now I think I’ll let them wait a little longer. he he he

So today is going to be a quiet day home (as it’s Saturday and the roads and shops will be murder), catch up on some TV recorded, no football today as The Spurs are not in action until tomorrow, but we do have the final of Strictly Come Dancing tonight.
Come on Rachel
Stay tuned and be good
